“No, the heart that has truly loved never forgets,
But as truly loves on to the close,
As the sunflower turns on her god when he sets
The same look which she turned when he rose!”

Beautiful colour and detail in this Sharon.

I think you could possibly give it a little more space on the crop just to get a little extra petal detail in there.

    Nice work.

Lovely shot Sharon. I was going to ask you to do a close up from the wider shot you posted earlier but then I seen this. This could work well with a strong vignette in the corners to draw you into the spiral. Need the crop to be not as severe on the LHS as NFL mentioned

    Thank you Dee!
I will definitely give that some more room and a vignette does sound lovely! Will go for it~~

Thanks for your suggestions…much appreciated :D

I like this… It’s kind of mesmerizing, like being lured into a vortex. Think I’m going to go against the grain and suggest a tighter crop, makes it very graphic. I do appreciate what the others are saying about the larger crop though.

    Sinead~~~

Ah good call! It’s an altogether different animal with a tighter crop..you can see it on My flickr :D

Thanks for thinking of that..it hadn’t really occurred to me to take it in beyond the perimeter of the face..but it does become quite abstract and sort of illusional.

Lovely. Tighter crop as suggested by Sinead. Beautiful detail and
symmetry in that centre. Just imagine how well this would look if
you’d used an Olympus instead of that Canon… ;)

I have to agree with Sinead and Rob. A tighter crop always works well for macro shots. Though i like it the way it is too. :)

I have tried and tried but can’t find any words that would do this justice except to say “I wish I had taken this” :) ……Mikka
