My Cactus triggers died a few weeks back and I saw these as a potential replacement, they are only on the market, so views and reviews were pretty scarce. I ordered a set from eBay (1 transmitter and 1 reciever) for £25, which is not too bad at all.
Picked up my set yesterday, 3 days delivery from Hong Kong to Ireland, was pretty impressive.
As these were bought as a replacement to my cactus triggers, that is all I can compare them too.
The build quality is miles better than the cactus triggers, especially with the receiver, you know when they ship them with Duracell batteries that they aren’t skimping too much. I found the receiver abit tight on my 550EX, but nothing to get me worried.
I only performed a limited number of tests, in the house, in line of sight, in another room etc. I didn’t have a single misfire, so I am very impressed with these for what i will use them for.
Hats off to Yongnuo, they have produced a good product at an excellent price, which should meet the needs of most amateurs.
As far as I know you can, I know some people on the strobist group have order them with multiple receivers, but not sure on how they perform.
People seem to be posting their reviews here, but don’t think I have seen ones on people using multiple receivers yet. Although some people are comparing them to the Cybersyncs, can’t comment myself as I haven’t used anything other than cactus cheapies.
