Nice set Peter, the first shot would be my favourite. The detail in number two is first class but the tail cut off doesn’t help, still a great in flight shot.

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for looking and your comments, the #2 photo must have been cut-off when uploading. Will have to try and repost

Great set Peter. I think you might have to resize #1 and #2 to fit the complete image in the post as the RHS is getting chopped off.
That Heron in flight shot has to be one of the best I have seen, detail is very good and the focus looks spot on.
I think if the whole flower was lit up it would have been a much better shot………./Mikka

    Hi,

I have re-sized the first two images to fit correctly on the page

    Hi Peter,

    Three nice images here.
    Well composed, exposed and focussed.

I must say that I really love #2.
I think it stands out from the OOF background very well.
I like the colours of the whole image.

I was confused by the composition earlier as it would not be your form
to cut the rear end off a bird. :)
I had forgotten that the new site is very unforgiving for images over 800px. :)
Now that we can see it all it confirms my original feelings.
    Excellent.

    Well done.
