Just saying hi, new to the site and a total beginner to photography.
Up to now have loved looking at others photography but hoping to get out there myself!!

The best way to get started = Get a camera and take a lot of pictures.
You can’t go wrong with the entry level cameras from Canon or Nikon. They usually come with a basic lens that can make very nice images. So, don’t get hung up on the finer details of specification. Go to a shop and see how they fit in your hands.
Someone here on PI is always selling the package they started with. Check out the “for sale” forum over a two week period and you’ll probably do well. Don’t over look used from the larger Dublin camera shops.
Find and join a camera club near home. The talks, outings and one-on-one help are great.
As soon as you are producing images, start posting them here on PI for comment.
