NFL in Wembley Shots

Excuse multiple shots in this thread but they’re all from the one game, so it seems tidier :)
Very first try with an SLR – asked a mate for some settings and then just machine gunned 700 photos – some came out ok :)
When I saw NFL I was expecting a surprise appearance by yer man! :wink: :lol:
Very good action shots with plenty of turf flying. You caught them well, with nice clarity and sharpness.

The sharpness and image quality is excellent for someone who was using the SLR for the very first time, at night, taking fast moving subjects!! Are you telling us a few fibs??
What lens and what camera were you using here? Very impressed if you are a beginner.
Nope, very first time. Bought the thing the day before the game :)
A friend of mine is a very accomplished photographer so i had him on the phone to give me some settings to go with and then u just snapped constantly. Out of 700 photos plenty were awful, but the law of averages suggests i’d get some good ones by accident. :) Believe me there were more than enough terrible ones to backup my beginner status :P
Canon 450D with the same mate’s borrowed 300 sigma lens (don’t know any more lens details than that i’m afraid)
Where is he? — I don’t recognise him…not that I would, as his appearance is always changing…
