I know where I work but I dont know what I am…! I work in a small design based
Architects office (responsible for projects like Liffey Boardwalk and Smithfield Public
Space) .. originally in Drogheda but now in Dublin. Started the commute just last
week..! Fun. As for what exactly I do….. drafting (Vectorworks), small amounts of
design, graphics (brochures, job applications etc etc etc), manage networks, supplies,
administration, photography (WOW) and 50 million other bits an bobs.

Away from the office I also shoot Architectural Photography, a small amount of
portraiture and also run Apple Mac admin for a few small offices in Dublin.

In essence I am a dogs body (that will try my hand at anything…!)

Unfortunately I know what I do for a living… IT Project Manager. I used to enjoy my job as a software engineer, working in large teams and on some major projects for a Belfast software house – then for some god forsaken unknown reason I ended up managing the blokes that now have the fun cutting the code. Although sometimes I get the pleasure to work with some (**cough**) interesting people :).

hmmmm, although tempted to make up some really interesting job or claim to be a hippy stew dent…. I feel I better tell the truth to avoid any scolding.

I work for a large well known courier company who shall remain nameless as the last time I mentioned it all I got was horror stories about drivers leaving deliveries in wheelie bins and so on. I have been “there” over 22 years amazingly.

Maybe I should have made something up about prams or asset management?

With a background in economics and journalism I work in the Press Office
of a very large healthcare company. Handling corporate communications
and media contact with journalists is a big (and challenging) part of the job.

I really enjoy what I do as I get to research and write
a lot of articles/media releases for magazines, newspapers, radio and tv etc.
which is satisfying as most projects have a definite beginning, middle and an end.
Some of the reports and annual results publications etc can be a little tedious,
but in general it’s an interesting way to earn a crust.

I also work from my home most of the time
which saves the grind of a daily commute. :D

I produce & provide images for people to use, to meet their needs – i.e. I’m an advertising / commercial photographer.

Currently specialise in interior type images… from homes to hotels – and everything in between.
Shooting mostly hotels at present, as recent marketing survey’s show: “today’s top hotel Web sites thrive on pretty pictures – and lots of them”.

Examples of our work can also be regularly seen in the top selling UK & Irish home interior magazines.
Current published work can be seen here each month.

Jasus your nosey… first our age, now our occupations, whats next? our favorite position :-)

I work for an outsourcing company in the IT department as a technical architect. Work on projects mostly so do lots of software design, coding, estimation or anything at all to do with the software side of the department. I enjoy the job, lots of challenges, has its bad days also when your on boring projects but over all it aint too bad for a 9 to 5….

I don’t mind being called ‘nosey’… but if you called me ‘nossie’ there’d be trouble.

Really interesting post nfl-fan …its like sitting in a circle and an AA meeting….

I’m a design engineer for a Telecoms Company.

I’m really interested in period property renovationrestoration, due to the recession I’m “between projects” ……really miss the smell of damp. I’ve turned to photography to get my kicks this days.
