Nikon 80-200 F2.8

CormacParticipant
Does anyone know of one of these for sale?
I’m not looking for the VR version – the D type is what I am after.
Thanks
thedarkroomParticipantCormacParticipantPreferably an AF, for a D200, but a good full-frame lens would do nicely.
What are you asking for the A1-s?
thedarkroomParticipantIt’s an 85mm f1.4 A1s manual focus lens in excellent condition. The new price for this lens is £690 sterling, which equates to approximately €860. It is an excellent piece of optics and I’m looking for €550.
CormacParticipantCheers, I’ll keep it in mind.
I have to upgrade my tele for work first, probably the 80-200 2.8 D.
Once I have that sorted I’ll be looking for the portrait lens, I’ll give you a shout to see if you still have it at that stage.
Thanks again,
CormacthedarkroomParticipantIs this the lens you are looking for. I have this for sale also but am holding it for someone for the last three months. If it is the same one I could chase after the other guy for an update to see if he is still interested and if not give you an option on it. I have agreed a price of €400 with him but am still waiting. Let me know if it is the same one and I can follow it up,
CormacParticipantHi Dave,
That’s not exactly the version I am after – although it seems to have the same letters.
Let me know if your other buyer has bailed as I would feel a bit more comfortable buying in Ireland instead of ebay!
The push-pull zoom is a nightmare for dust so I am hoping to get the two-touch version.Cheers,
CormacrandomwayMemberSomething like this? You can get it from China through ebay, but then you wouldn’t see it before purchase…

CormacParticipantThat’s the one I’m looking for alright.
Even tried to get it through that ad on adverts.ie.
I have a New York contact through which I can pick up a grey market version of the lens from BHphoto for 850 USD.
Looks like that’ll be the way for me, it just means I have to wait longer that I had hoped before it gets to me.
Anyone know about second hand goods from the US through ebay? Any VAT implications on this end?
Cheers
JiMbOParticipantIf your friend is sending it to you from america get them to label it as a present as you dont have to pay vat if its a present to you…..
