Nikon Repair

Hi,
I was wondering has anyone had dealings with Nikon Ireland for repair. I sent a 24-70 in 5 days for an out of warranty repair and so far I have heard nothing back from them. I rang them today and they were not very helpful, they just told me to ring back next week (Friday) if I still didn’t hear anything.
I was just wondering has anyone dealt with them before? how long does it usually take?
