    no offense taken, honest. I still love my d200 and use it often. I do agree that it’s a capable camera and it’s image quality is not to be dismissed.

    BUT, the thing is the D3 is so much better at everything it’s not fair to compare the two.

    you are using both bodies so you could tell what’s the difference at low iso, on architectural/landscape/studio shots? Is there a big difference on prints?

    I don’t really shoot in those areas myself, so I’m not sure I could give you an honest opinion. Maybe this link would be a good indication. It’s comparing the D3 with the D2xs.

    The only question I have left, will I keep my d200 after I bought the d3 :)

    The microdetail and contrast look better on every single image, not to talk about the colour fidelity and other areas… it looks like it’s not just a hype about the image quality.

    yes, it’s the detail in the D3 nefs that really make it stand out. Loads more there. The integrity of the files is incredible too.

    Good luck with your D3, you’re d200 may be worth more to you than it is on the 2nd hand market. That’s why I kept mine.
