Anyone willing to make me an offer on a canon 70-200 F4L ,I never use the lens as I am still only getting the hang of the whole camera thing ,I think I will just get a sigma zoom instead.

The lens is less than a year old ,comes with carry pouch, hood and Uv filter.

    Any offers ???

Brian, I’m very interested (see PM) but can’t help wondering why you bought a pro lens to start with if you’re still getting the hang of it? It’s a great lens but it’s not an all-rounder by any means.

I have a Sigma 18-50 f3.5-5.6 with hood, caps, 58mm CPL filter, one year old, perfect condition, if you’re into a p/x with cash balance (see post nearby in this forum).

Hi Brian – what sort of price range would you be looking for ? Would you consider a part exchange for this iBook laptop comes in its original box with lots of software – wireless, dvd, etc.,

Ger ,I’ve got a laptop already and if I hadn’t I’d seriously consider your offer.
I’m in no rush at all to sell the lens ,moneywise the money from the sale will just go into the bank
I bought the lens because it’s the cheapest L lens available and scores the highest marks in reviews ,what other reason would you need. I had intended on using it for motorsports ,but i only got to use it a couple of times ,I discovered a 400 at least is what you need for such stuff.

I bought it in Conns and I still have the receipt.

Sorry Brian, I was interested but as mentioned am strapped for cash so wouldn’t have been able to do anything quickly. It’s not such a bad decision to hang onto a fabulous lens anyway ;)

cheers steve ,Its an ok lens on the 350D for sports ,but not a practical zoom at all on the small sensor cameras.
It’s a royal lens on my 50E film camera ,really shows what the lens can do.

Maybe some day I will own a 5D ,hopefully one day I could justify buying one :)

I’m surprised you don’t like the range on a 1.6x camera. Using a borrowed 70-300 I found the 70-150 range perfect for portraits, both headshots and top half shots from further back.

Can be used alright ,but to me the 200 range is not as good as the 300 .
Basically I think for such a short field of view the range could be a bit further.
I love the field of view with it ,as it was intended ,but with the crop factor I feel it’s a little short both ways.
