Sorry Alan, I couldn’t resist posting my version of this shot. I hope you don’t mind.
I used a similar crop to yours because I think the way he is leaning works together with the glance.

BTW Thanks to everyone who was in the zoo on Saturday.
I haven’t been there in years and really enjoyed the morning.
Nice to put faces and voices to the names and photos.

It’s all about size with you, ain’t it!!

Yeah, your’s looks good and sharp.

It was a good day and as you say nice to put faces to names. Must do it again sometime.

    Alan.

[EDIT] Regarding posting a similar image Hauke…I don’t have exclusive rights to any subject. Yours came out better than mine so don’t let a posting of a similar subject hold you back…I’m just waiting for your version of the 2 headed rhino…and juniors daddy yawning…and all the rest.

I have to say, I won’t be able to beat your two headed rhino.
As I have said my shots seem to have an extra tail that throws it off somewhat

As to the yawing silver back:
I am currently debating with myself whether to PS away the poo on his upper lip or not
It makes him look so much less impresive if you know what it is
