Shot this from my driver’s window today while sitting in a really
annoying contraflow on the Slane road.
    Any comments appreciated…

Was the particularly annoying contraflow caused by someone in a Landrover taking pictures of a horse from out the car window?

I think it’s a tiny bit dark, but it could be this monitor. The detail in the post
and gate and chain kind of takes one’s eye off the hoss, which seems wrong
if it’s a picture of the hoss. Maybe you should have got your driver to take a
meter reading on the area around the critter’s eye.

    Tee hee hee.

    Perhaps I should Pete.

I’m a little concerned that you find it dark. It makes me wonder if perhaps
my monitor is not quite right, because I can discern every single detail
in the hoss, and while I missed the eye because of an unsteady hand at
maximum focal length, the point of sharpest focus seems to me to be the
metal ring of the bridle. I’d best print it off and check a little more carefully…

Just looking again Rob. The horse may be black anyway?
If I move my head up and down he goes a bit lighter then
darker – flat screen monitor issue. Do a print – I expect the detail
is there, and you’re right about the sharpest area being the bridle.

I stand corrected Pete. Just did a quick print and it definitely
needs a little lightening. The detail is there all right, but it’s getting
lost because of the darkness. I have the same issue with the
flat screen; I must look like a right plonker sometimes sitting here
with my head bobbing up and down as I check images…

There’s no family-friendly reply I can think of.
