Not Something I Usually Do :)
-
BruParticipant
Yesterday I was asked to take a few shots of the family at a 40th birthday party, that was an experience
After a couple of hours I wandered down to the beach for a couple of photos of something different. I don’t post on here a lot I’m more of a browser but when I do you will most likely see me in the Motorsport section posting bikes doing silly speeds so to say this is different is an understatement but I actually enjoyed it.
Any tips/opinions/feedback/criticism would be really appreciated as I’d love another go soon. I think I have a problem with compostition, as in I don’t have any when it comes to landscape
Thanks for looking!
Flickr can be a pain for getting the right size unless you upload it the size you want, so I put the link to the full size underneath!

A great start indeed. For not taking landscapes you have done a good job.
Landscapes usually succeed when they use the rule of thirds and when you have an interesting foregound and ou have these on most. Another aspect is to consider lead in lines such as the old pier or rocks to draw you into the pictures. Worth pointing the camera slightly down into the shot to pick up rocks and soA lot of people like to use the slower shutter to give the water a blur affect or to create movement in the sea, clouds
Where is this, looks familar to me?
Cheers, DeeCianMcLiamParticipantLove the colours and processing of number 2, nice set of shots. Last one is a bit too contrasty for my tastes but thats a nit-pick!

wirepicParticipantJust echoing what the rest said. A great set for someone who doesn’t do landscapes. #2 my personal choice also.
