hi Gerald
very nice and sharp, composed well. I think this is more a demonstration of the capabilities of your equipment over your photography skills. I don’t mean that in a negative way, I’m just trying to figure the photos purpose. Without getting too deep about it, why did you take this shot? Is it a stock image maybe? I think it’s suitable. Is there meaning there that I’m missing?

I dont think every photo needs to have a motive or a justification to be perfectly honest – thanks for checking though.

you’re right, not every photo does. But I think it helps if they do.

Sometimes an image is just an image.
mylesrantsParticipanteveryone is actually right
. might not be for framing but the market is massive in stock photos and this is a particuarly good example, well lit with a defined and mallable subject matter.peace lovin

As long as its not a pipe-
But must admit-
not getting this one-
it is a close up,
but I reckon there must have been a better picture here somewhere-One thing that bothers me slightly (for this one)
is that the emphasis of the focus and the lighting are in two different places-j

Glad I didnt post that cigar shot now. There could well have been a better pic there – truthfully this was taken at a science museum and it was behind a display cabinet – so angles were limited, also the lighting was more or less fixed. I suppose you would call it an exercise in composition if you needed a motive for it. I hadn’t noticed that the area with most light and focus area being different – so I might re-process the raw to lessen that part. Thanks for checking.
