bingbongbiddleyParticipantNice set. Four good pictures.
The fourth one would be strongly improved with some eye contact, but it’s not bad all the same.
Liam2673ParticipantAgree, its a nice set, would be difficult to get eye contact for these types of shot though agreed that it would improve the fourth.
First is my favourite here, quite similar to the Hong Kong shot from Mr Enjoi also on this forum.
slang61Participantreall like the fourth one.
maybe just me – but could do with a slightly altered crop/composition. ie the edge of the window etc.
other than that his facial expression is priceless.5faytheParticipantHi Rob,
I really enjoyed viewing these.
Each one makes me wonder what the story is & I find
myself imagining a story for them.#1 Is amazing. Looks like a man making the best of what’s around.
#2 Like he’s leaning into the wind or has some big burden to carry.
#3 Humour? The hand on the sign kinda falling in line with his arm.
#4 What stories that man might tell from all he’s seen. My brother is
a guard on the trains with Iarnrod Eireann. Boy the things he sees.Well done & thanks for posting.
John.
HelenParticipantI really liked all of your shots and NYC seems like its an amazing place to visit.
I keep going back to #1 – its so surreal looking. What a character he looks!
jb7ParticipantLike them all-
certainly gives a flavour of the place-I presume the guy at the ‘don’t walk’ sign was performing for the cameras?
Love the goy who forgot to wear his roller blades,
but walks like that anyway…joseph
RodredMemberthanks for the comments folks,
all the shots are random, the guy hanging out of the light
was selling city tours, didnt even see from across the the street.
it is a mecca for street photography. the guy not on roller blades
was actually doin a photo shoot – the photographer is hunched down
behind the piller. i assume it was for D&G by looking at his belt.
i will be keeping my eyes peeled to see if there is an magazine ad.i actually saw the guy from the 1st shot, twice when i was there.
here is a shot of the 2nd time i saw him.
i gave him a few dollar for that 1.PD_BARBSParticipantExcellent set of shots, alot of weird and wounderful stuuf captured here. Fun viewing.
Liam2673ParticipantYo,
The latest image you’ve posted is the best of the lot in my view. The eye contact makes it quite powerful. Also, the facial expression is very symapthetic. Good that you gave him a dollar. Its a good trade for both of you.
Again I’d say, its incredible how similar it is to the shot from Hong Kong by Mr Enjoi.
kenhParticipantHi Rob, love these as great examples of street photography – as Joseph defined it on another thread – SP should show the extraordinary in the
midst of the ordinary – and these achieve that.Well done.
RodredMembercheers for the comments,
yeah liam i see what you mean how similar it is,
maybe they new each other in a past life eh!!
or else its a common way to keep warm!!
ill post a few more later cheersrob
