certainly not in the Vendée, I mean imagine Ellen McArthur, up the top of the mast in the southern Ocean in a force Nine,
does she call her Tack Buddy to take over while she enjoys a week in Benidorm?I think not-

I magicked myself up a Doldrum for my two boats today,
not only that, but have set it to travel with me for the next two days.
At 4kts.My cunning plan, get becalmed and give the 25,000 boats ahead of me a false sense of security as they steam directly towards the finish.
On the plus side, nobody is going to ask me to be a Tack Buddy-

I had to manage Mick’s fleet for a few hours today along with my own single craft
