Finished leg 2 at last (#25117 – loser!). I thought it would never end. Andy has probably completed an entire photo catalogue of the caves of Southern India by this stage.
Still, should get a few scoops in before leg 3.
I’m scootling along towards the first ice-gate in the Vendée. Anyone want to
come and play?I was 2000th at one point, but have somehow managed to lose 12,000 places

Is the race back on? I’m on Linux today and can’t log in for some reason.
Just switched on Windoze and discovered that. None of yeese thought to
tell me that my boat was floating rudderless around the Indian Ocean –
you don’t know how that hurts.And we’re off !!!
I logged in at the start to find that the pro sails were disabled. I set for auto and hoped for the best. Several hours later I returned to find myself at the cows tail with my friends all running their pro’s at full steam. Grrr.
But low and behold, overnight I took a cunning line. Across a fast diagonal between two poorer squares I squeezed and onwards to the lead.
My advice. Taking a southern approach in the northern hemisphere is probably a bad idea and will skirt you back into the slack. Keep north of the race line is my advice for better wind.
Too late perhaps? So long suckers.

Tee hee. I went about to get northwards having decided Andy was probably right
and I had 12 new friends when I logged in again, along with multiple messages
in stilted English enquiring whether I had lost me marbles… or did I know something clever?I’ll refer them to you Andy, OK?
