Ha! you think thats bad…….I beat you by 10,000 I was a very healthy
3800 or there abouts and now 61831 :(nfl-fanParticipantI head South initially… only made about 5 adjustments since the leg commenced… and as of this morning I still lead the PI pack, well the one’s I added as friends, in a respectable 2642th. In fact the current leg leader. as I type this, took almost the same route as me (gabychef3).
I still reckon that this thing sways more towards luck than skill.
andy mcinroyParticipantNFL, I think the good players have sacrificed their short term ranking in the interests of a strategy to deal with the difficult conditions. The current leaders are nobodys like us. Just look at their previous leg positions.
Look at Aldabria, the current OVERALL leader for instance. He is way, way north and currently in 27,000 place.
The northies will come back, rest assured.
Mick451Participantandy mcinroyParticipantWhat is it they say about giving monkey’s enough boats?
Come now guys. 1 boat each for the ranking, surely.
BMParticipantI think that some members launched extra boats to test conditions in different places. The rest of us just look at other competitors’ boats.
As concerns our PI mini competition, I am only scoring the original boats.
Perhaps we should introduce a handicap system for participants with more than 1 boat, e.g. 2 boats = half score, 3 boats = third score.
What’s the concensus on this? (Let’s put it to the vote: each member gets 1 vote except for: Mick gets a third of a vote, JB a half)
nfl-fanParticipantI say just take the first boat that everyone entered and forget all these additional boats.
Mick451Participantnfl-fanParticipantIn fact… I reckon anyone with more than one boat be deducted 10 points and be banned for life from PI.
Oh.. congrats on the 5 Pies Mikey.
BMParticipantJeez Mick, who was being serious? Serious is for work. Laughs, gags and fun are for PI (oh, and a bit of photography).
jb7ParticipantThis is all beginning to look a bit terminal…
how do you sail in this? That’s rhetorical, btw…
PeteTheBlokeMemberI like the irony of this shot.
I doubt if he can even see me from there.
RobMemberThat’s brilliant Pete, tee hee…
Same thing happened me this morning about 6 a.m. I checked in and noticed that
I was several hundred miles closer to the mark than anyone else, despite being in
30,000th place…
