Come on Mikey… it’s karaoke night… let’s sing another:
I’ve paid my dues –
Time after time –
I’ve done my sentence
But committed no crime –
And bad mistakes
I’ve made a few
I’ve had my share of sand kicked in my face –
But I’ve come through
PeteTheBlokeMemberHang on boys. You’re getting all silly about a bit of teasing while
that smug bloke in the dinghy hands out “I’m so clever” lectures
like a poker player who’s just bluffed you out of the biggest hand all
night but still has to explain how he did it. And he’s Scottish, but to
mention that would be racialist so I won’t mention it.Mick451Participantandy mcinroyParticipantDunkerry Dinghy calling
Thanks Pete,
And my theory (for what its worth)…..
[lecture] I always said “north wins it” and all the leading boats came from there. The problem is, most of you are slaves to your ranks and get your underpants in a knot as soon as you see your rank nosediving in the short term. Many of you initially headed south and made the same mistake on the restart. Then you made the same mistake a third time around the final bouy. Shame. [/lecture]
I still have Mick in my sights and I might just pip him yet if he doesn’t get out of that bad square sharpish..
As for ‘The McInroy’. He’s one sore ‘leader of the pack’ and I’m sorry my name is associated with that hot-tub.
PeteTheBlokeMemberOh, you were right Andy, you were right. In fact I agreed with you
but didn’t stay north enough for long enough. I still don’t want one
of your smug lectures. Thank you.positronMemberI was away since Friday, now on the right course after a near collision with mainland china – only about 100,000+ boats ahead of me…!!
BMParticipantI met up with Santa Claus earlier today for a pint a some TV footie – it’s a bit of a family/tradition thing.
Anyway, he told me he was doing his rounds last night and came across a very
naughty boy sitting up late waiting to catch the right winds on his computer.
Naughty boy. No new prime lenses for you this Christmas. No, No, No.
Santa is going to give them to one of his little angels.
He was well pissed off.
andy mcinroyParticipantI don’t believe in Santa.
But there are certainly some naughty boys about last night.
It was a toss up between staying up till 2am or purchasing programmable pilot for a fiver.
However, I’m a Scotsman. And hard scotsmen don’t buy autopilot for a fiver, oh no. We leave that to the irishmen who have more money than sense and need their beauty sleep.

Well, he says he still has lots of confidence in you, so you’re OK – except he’s “going to give those lenses to that charming boy Pete who deserves them more and will be more grateful”.
Mick451ParticipantMick451Participantandy mcinroyParticipantYes, that’s an unfortunate schoolboy error Mick.
Did I mention that staying north is good?
Although now it’s not.
