Made up more than 2000 places since yesterday, the Barfing Mad just coming into
view off my port side now. I have a feeling that Mark may be on the other side of the
boat mothering the gulls…Alan RossiterParticipantSomething has just dawned on me that I hadn’t considered. The race is expected to finish June 2009!!!!!
I’m on this bloody thing several times a day looking at winds, currents, projections, sails (all to no avail by the looks of things – even Slang61 is catching me). Tweaking to get from 19.6 knts to 19.7 knts, getting a kick logging on to say I’ve gained 10 places overnight. And the oddest thing is that you can pay real money to get your virtual boat repaired, or have a virtual pilot, etc.
JB – you’re a cruel man…
Still reckon I’ll pass you by June though. ;-)
nfl-fanParticipantYep… tending to a new born baby wouldn’t be as demanding.
I might crash and give in… just bought some high energy feed balls for the birds… instant impact, my flock have returned… back to the garden and less Virtual Sailing methinks.
BMParticipantRemebering the names of the ships and the respective PI names was driving me mad, so …

Very wise,
You should have chosen a more inspiring boat name.
That one has brought you nothing but bad luck.
slang61Participant“even Slang61 is catching me”
Cheers Wonka – looking forward to waving at you off my stern (yes i worked at sea for a few years)
Just kidding – never thought something so simple would be so addictive.Mick451ParticipantBit of a three way battle developing with The Alimony, Burma and Barfing.

Yes indeed, we may have to be careful of our paintwork…

 Is that photography talk John??

When the 3 of you are looking at each other you might notice the falling wind over the next 24-36 hours dead ahead. I’ll wave at you – keep an eye over your starboard bow. 8)

So that’s a four way battle now with The Alimony, Burma, Barfing and Sarahmary…
andy mcinroyParticipant‘Dunkerry Dinghy calling’
I’ll be joining the five of you on my journey west for better wind.
I think the HMS Causeway might be in some trouble and I can see it’s making some late evasive maneuvers to avoid going down the plug.
nfl-fanParticipantIn case anyone has been experiencing any issues… like me with IE7… dodgy, unresponsive compass… sensitive zoom… uninstall Flash (http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/knowledgebase/index.cfm?id=tn_14157) and re-install it (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/)… worked for me… and now my boat works.
jb7Participantwow, now you’re talking like a proper sailor-
don’t give up yet-
you’re doing fine-jb7Participant
