just bought a nice studio light. (elinchrome d-lite 4). Happy Days :D
So its practice, practice and more practice.
Heres two photos i took yesterday and today.
Let me know what you think.
I really like the second shot… I think it’s a little bit soft in parts, but as you were playing around with your new light I think you’ve done a good job on the shadows and crop etc…
I think the first one has a bit tooooo much shadow on the model. The way the hair on her right comes goes out of view and appears back in further down takes the look off it for me…

Given a different costume the second one has a Madonna [the original one] look about her.
Love the expression in the second shot. I’m a fan of thoughtful, far-away looks.

Im a fan of them type of looks too. i usually have the far-away look myself.

Done a fast photoshop job on it. might have made it a tad too soft. Im not a fan of portraits being too soft. Just a little sometimes. and i hate it when the white of the eyes are made too white. but im always seeing it in magazines and photographers windows. I dont think its very natural.
