    how does one join?
I’m not sure about Dalkey as I’m not driving and not sure if I have any time – but I am very interested. Dublin South needs a good camera club

Just turn up to a meeting.
We get new members to fill out a questionnaire form that is mostly about their photography interests so we can use that to plan our programme.

From a handful of members last Autumn OffShoot Photography Society, or OffShoot for short, has grown from strength to strength now numbering
50 members. The club was founded last September to address the need for a camera club in the Southeast Dublin/North Wicklow region. Club
secretary Darragh Sherwin said recently “The aim of the club is to have a diverse range of events and outings, with a very practical
focus. We want to encourage people to be creative and have fun with their photography. There’s a lot of energy. It’s a great club to be involved with.”

Highlights of the upcoming Autumn/Winter programme include: a talk from pro landscape photographer Peter Cox, a model shoot, Dave McKane
of the Institute of Photography presenting on composition and creative photography, as well as a talk on setting up studio lighting.

OffShoot will be presenting their members works at this year’s Peoples Photography Exhibition around St Stephens Green on the weekend of the 29th and 30th of August.

OffShoot meets every Monday night in new premises St Paul’s Parish Hall Glenageary at 8:00pm. New members of all levels are always welcome. Check out the website: http://www.offshoot.ie or email the committee at contactoffshoot.ie for more information on joining.
