Old Car being taken over by its immediate surroundings

UPDATED PICS BY TAKING OUT THE GRAIN
I’m not very good at working out which area to post images so hopefully this is the correct place for these
All I am trying to show here is a car and its immediate surroundings and how the car is now become part of these surroundings
If you look closely you will see that the car is quite old and the trees are growing around it so much so that in the back of the car there is a tree growing out of it that must be at least 15 years old
Heres the pics let me know if you think these are any good and which might be your favourite one if any.
These are taken on a converted IR D70 with a 20mm prime lens. I added some grain in post processing I will most prob take out as I think its OTT
Shots were taken on the way to the Smoky Mountains yesterday morning (Sunday)
Cheers
MSANCHOMemberbethParticipantlove them, the bottom has some color noise that doesn’t quite fit, but i am in love with your ir shots.
bethjb7ParticipantI like these a lot Martin,
‘Return to Nature’ might have been an alternative title-I’d agree about the grain;
but that’s a personal thing,
I always tried to minimize it myself,
so I can’t imagine putting too much back,
especially at this size-No 4 for me,
because of the texture on the barn,
but I see its been cropped a bit-If it were mine,
I think I’d fix the verticals on the buildings,
which would also bring back some more of the buildings on the left-j
RobMemberCan’t help but love your IR work Martin. Perhaps a little
too grainy but fantastic nonetheless. Number 3 4 me…Rob.
AliParticipantYour IR work is stunning and these locations are to die for. I love #3 Martin, I’m dying to see it in colour :)
ExpresbroParticipantNo.3 for me as well Martin. Fantastic shots as usual…but I would definitely like to see them without the grain, I think there is just too much lovely detail being lost in it’s application. Also be good to see some colour versions as well. I always think these old rustbucket wreck shots look best in vivid colour.
You’re not going to want to come home at the end of this trip Martin. :D
MartinParticipantHere are some colour version as requested. Im posting more IR shots these days i suppose because I am having fun with the IR camera since getting it a few months back. Have shot colour for years so the IR is new for me and more interesting at the moment
Anyhow heres the colour versions. These were shot with a different lens, the 12-24 i think, while the IR ones were taken with a 20mm prime
Did these up real quick so the colours could be off as my monitor etc is not calibrated
Expresbro: “You’re not going to want to come home at the end of this trip Martin.” It will be a pity coming home but i don’t mind as I am off for three weeks to Corsica hill walking, doing a route called the GR20 which goes from the north of the Island to the South of the Island over the mountains. Life is hard, I recommend taking three months off work to anyone
Thanks Again Martin
Aurora_esParticipantExpresbroParticipantDefinitely prefer them without the added grain Martin…and now that I see them I think I prefer the mono. They just look even better now :D
