Thanks again all for the nice words

Will post a scanned version of the print in a few weeks so that you can see how it came out

JB7: Did you get up to the Tombs while you were there?

I climbed up to them last year with full 4×5 kit, nearly killed me…
when I got up there, the wind musta been around fifty mph…

Have been at the Tombs at loughcrew many the time, have never managed to get a good picture. Really nice place, especially in mist. Also known as hill of the witch which i think is a cool name. You need to get a lighter camera seen as your a wimp not being able to walk up a small little hill with a 4×5 even if there is just a little puff of wind

irishwonkafan:If ever there was an example of perfect exposure I suppose this is it

Yea the exposure looks good alright, have started using incident metering more often than reflective metering lately, getting much better negs when I can take an incident reading…

Incident reading – is this with a light meter? Just a new term to learn…

Yea a handheld light meter, its supports incident and reflective metering.

I have a little Sekonic 308, it’s basic but does a great job for B&W

Really nice, I love the sky and the detail on the castle.

I just think the grave stones at the front right ( esp the one with the cross on top )
are a bit kind of bright and almost illuminous, which spoils it a tincy bit for me.
