Not really :) Just took photo of the place which saw on the photograph of my grandfather taken when he was young. It was very harsh light so I’ve ended with blown sky and very dark shadows on the foreground on my photo… So decided to play with it and make it “old looking” just like on the grand dad’s photos  Any c&c very welcome
nfl-fanParticipantMuch prefer the conversion on the first shot Rima… very nice effect indeed. A very pleasant little photo you have there. The effect reminds me of the Gallaher cards on display here on the site in another forum.
Care to share the technique used?
RimaMemberGlad you like it John, appreciate your comment.
#1 is basically #2 with extra filter added on top of it… For #2 I’ve played with contrast / curves to bring out more details from the original shot, played with colour contrast / hue / saturation before decolorating the picture… Then applied one of the retro look filters from “photoscape” to get #1. “Photoscape” is not a bad software for the free one
Thanks again for lookingDeeboParticipantI am with John on this too, i much prefer the first shot and conversion is good and it does look as though it was taken many years ago

RimaMembergavinParticipantNumber one looks great, really authentic lookin♦g, and great tonal range.

Thanks for the info. Quick and Cheap… the best way. Appreciate it!!!
RimaMemberYou are welcome John :) Frame is from their range as well. That’s right – quick, cheap and not too bad – that’s acombination I like
Thanks for looking Gavin :)
jb7ParticipantLooks good Rima-
maybe somewhere between 1 & 2 for the vignette-
it does seem a little strong in 2-Good picture-
even better that it’s from a place that means something to you-j
RobertoMemberThe photo is nice and very ‘romantic’ looking….
I don’t realy like the scratches on the first one….. it is used more for ‘old movies look’.
You have all the ‘ingredient’ for old look in the second photo, try to add just some toning.
I adjusted the midtones and highlights and added toning. Some very dark parts of the phot became more detailed… like the stone basement of the bridge….RimaMemberThank you for comment Joseph, appreciate it. Somewhere between… It might be, maybe some day I will come back to it and will play a bit more.
Thank you for your edit Roberto, impressive as usually :)
