Olly Mac’s Tractor

nfl-fanParticipant
Olly Mac… Family Friend/Neighbour has a small farmyard… a dozen chickens, an acre of drills… and tons of junk… went over today with the young lad… and ala “451 Down the Farm” proceeded to take loads of pics… here’s one for the purists…
latchikoParticipantSmashing! So much character and I’m in awe at the amount of detail you’ve captured. Is it a single frame or a combination? Love those wonky headlights – looks like a character from the ‘Cars’ movie. :D
nfl-fanParticipantCheers Latch.
T’is a single frame… created multiple exposures, generated a HDR/TM, converted to B+W using the LAB method (thanks for the action Wonka), bumped up the contrast to give it a harsher look and finally sharpened.
Yeah.. the headlights are class… I have a seperate shot of them straight on that I’m gonna process at some stage.
First time out today with the camera since an accident about 5 weeks ago… had a fantastic day… shooting all of the most obvious bits and bobs around the town.
cathaldParticipantThats superb John the detail and sharpness in the tractor is brill
Good to see you out and about againCathal
RobMemberVery good John…
I’m not usually a fan of anything that actually looks HDR, but occasionally there’s
an image like this one. Lovely finishing to this, mean and moody. My only criticism
would be the cropping of that front wheel, but I’m sure you probably felt that
yourself anyway after the fact…Rob.
nfl-fanParticipantThanks for the comments guys, appreciate it!
He he.. the front wheel.. I was waiting for someone to mention that..
Reason it’s cropped is cos I wanted to get in close to the tractor and get everything in so it was very dominant in the frame… but the ground was covered in chicken sh*t and there was a terrible smell of p*ss about the place. To get the full wheel I would have had to lie on the ground…

What you need John is to get yourself an E-3 with its live view and articulating screen… ;)
Rob.
ossie13ParticipantLike the processing on this…….the dark & moody “feel” works well with this subject!!
Glad to see you back out with the camera…………see you Sunday
Cheers Steve
