It’s a great old boat, full of texture. But there’s too much distraction with the other boats and the poles and wires. It looks like you shot this from a standing position. I think it would work better taken from a different position and at a lower angle to just have the sky as a back drop.
Just my tuppence worth.

This shot has great potential.
Maybe HDR???
definitely needs a boost in contrast, maybe even black and white…..
maybe even a wider shot – taking more of the background landscape into view…
nice spot though

The pole in the foreground cuts a third of the image off!
Looks a good spot though for some good shots.

i was actually on a bit of land higher than the boat. the idea of the other boats was to compare what is floating and what not, to see the old and new together. here is the probably the angle that you wanted

the boat is in fact against the pole, touches the pole so nothing i can do about that. i’ve seen the pole as a divider between old and new

hdr is not my cup of tea but i did try it and get not even one comment to tell me how crap it is. so i presume is really crap :lol: you can see my hdr here

a boost in the contrast might be a good idea, definitely will try that. here is the b&w version which i think is more dramatic and i like it more than the coloured one
