Not sure if this is in the right section, feel free to move it if not.
A shot I took down at the Hook on a recent visit with a full moon. All feedback welcomed.
SeaviewParticipantI like this Mick, another take on the hook we haven’t seen before. The composition and exposure are great. It’s hard to tell from the handle of the shot but the buildings in the background don’t look vertical.
Dave.

Hi Dave, I see what you mean. I didn’t go at the buildings in this but I gave the whole image a slight rotate to straighten the lighthouse as it was a bit like the leaning tower of Pisa, so maybe that makes the eye see the buildings as not vertical. Thats the only reason I can think of for that. I know there’s a tool or filter in PS that will allow me to move the buildings so i might have a go at that.
Thanks for pointing it out though.Mick.
miki gParticipantHi Mick. I’d agree. lovely composition etc but a slight tilt on the buildings.
PadraigParticipantMickSParticipantThanks Guys, appreciate the input. I’d never have copped the croked buildings myself.
Does anybody know what the tool is in PS for tilting the buildings? I can’t for the life of me remember.
Thanks,
Mick.flynnyParticipantHi Mick,
Smashing shot.
To straighten the buildings……
There may be other ways of doing this, but the way I do it is as follows…
Filter >Distort > lens correction >and from here it’s the slider marked vertical perspective.
Hope this helps.MickSParticipantflynny wrote:

Hope this helps. Thanks Flynny, much appreciated. I’m a little too drunk to attempt it now but I’ll definately have a go at it in the morning. Thanks for the help.
Mick.
