I use to buy all my camera accessories from 7dayshop who were very reasonable and had a very good customer service department, recently they don’t seem to be stocking much equipment and anything I’ve looked for isn’t on their page. What shop would you recommend, online or otherwise.

    Thanks.

I notice a lot of price matching with WEX, Calumet and Jessops.

For larger stuff, I prefer to go to Calumet. For smaller stuff, Jessops or eBay.

Sometimes good deals on Amazon – with their great customer service they are usually a good bet – even for grey imports.

Depending on what I’m looking for, but Barker Photographic is usually on my list & the service is excellent. :)

At the moment, I’m looking at a specific camera purchase and have checked around online etc and with all things considered i.e. shipping and say currency exchange rates I’m able to buy online in Ireland for cheaper from Berminghams.

I’d second Barker Photographic. Have used them in the past and got good value.

Yes, I also buy from Barker Photography and their service is always first class. Hopefully Santy will be buying a nice new wireless remote off them as my old cheapie one is on the way out.

Glad to hear Irish retailers have dropped prices massively then. This time last year I was looking to make my purchase and I couldn’t even buy a used D600 from an Irish retailer for the same price I could get a new D610 from Amazon. I must look and see if they really have dropped to meet UK prices as I am looking for a 16 Stop IRND Filter.
