    Great looking shot Miki.
    I read once upon a time that somewhere within that constellation is a nebula that could
    go ‘bang’ at any moment & it would have far reaching consequences for us here on earth!

    Here is another shot which shows the Nebula a bit clearer. Having lots of moonlight tends to wash out the dimmer stars, but I think this shot is a bit better than the first.

    The Nebula (The Great Nebula in Orion) is more of a ‘Star Factory’ rather than something that’s ready to go bang….

    You may be thinking of Betelgeuse (the bright Orange star on Orion’s shoulder).
    It could go bang today or withing a million or so year which is a short time in Astronomical terms :)
    It’s a mindboggingly big star.

    One of my favourite consellations.

    Trying hard tofind time to get a shot of The Horsehead Nebula in Orion.
