Out of town

When I was a boy there was a programme on TV called Out of Town… http://www.televisionheaven.co.uk/outoftown.htm

The theme music was ‘Recuerdos de la Alhambra’ played on spanish guitar. I loved this piece and learned to play the guitar and this music as a teenager. Anyway, the opening shot was of a horse and plough (or at least that’s how I remember it) and this shot reminds me of that…

Good shot and I like this,. however, I would have prefered to have the horses in focus and the wheat out of focus
    Nice idea

    Interesting shot, Niall,
I’m afraid I actually remember the tractor-pulled version of the reaper and binder in operation in my younger days!
The scene is a nostalgia-arousing one. I think it would have been better to keep both the horses and the oats (sorry, Deebo – I’m fairly sure it’s oats!) in focus but the composition and position are very good.
I’m not sure about the colours – at least on my monitor the oats has a pink hue. I think it would be better leaning towards a golden colour.
    Just a few thoughts, Niall.
BTW, any harm to ask where it was taken?

    Regards.

    Thanks for the comments.
This was taken last Sunday in Moynalty outside Kells at the Stream Threshing festival.
