Thanks Lorraine! Yes, these shots were taken in (pretty dim) natural light only. While I can’t move the light I try moving the subject around so it falls in a good way.
I really like natural light for portrait shots although much depends on the weather. I use a flashgun a lot too – especially if there are a lot of shadows around from sunlight etc. Normally it cuts down on the time needed editing the pictures – eg…
This didn’t need editing but would have been a tough shot without flash.
I’m impressed…. I haven’t gotten to the point of working with the flash gun yet ….. one day , when i grow up ;)
btw – that last shot is sooooo cute, you can even see the fence impinted on his arm ;)
