I’m afraid I’m not really getting this one Lorraine. For me the framing is a bit
severe, more to do with your own shooting position that the model’s posture. The
angle is quite unflattering, and from this viewpoint her hand looks unnaturally
large, almost manly. I do like the lighting though…
Damit Lorraine, I’m well into this photograph. Personally, I’d knock a little of the empty space above her head right off though, but that’s just me. I can see this as a cracking opening photo to a magazine article of some sort with plenty of room on the r/h/s for headline, intro and body copy. Its such a classic pose… and with the tattoos, well, they just compliment each other so well. Goodonya. N
summerdream – thanks a mill – I’m drawn to the contrast of the hair myself – and cheers for checking out the site – desperately needs an update
Rob – I se what you ean about the hand – personally i like the severe angle – I wanted a slightly haughty look .. ya know what I mean ! … but the hand I am with you on – I wasn’t sure if it my perceptions and the tattoos making me think it looked big / masculine .. but looking at other shots – she has big hands :) I’ll show ya other later .. less hands :)
Niallo .. I’m a sucker for negative space.. but I’m a little doubtful about it here now .. might look at it again !
