Pakistan China Border

This photo is taken at the border crossing between China and Pakistan, along the Karokoram Highway. Its at an elevation of 5100m, so I would think the highest border crossing in the world (though not sure about this, perhaps there is a higher one in Nepal). China and Pakistan are friendly nations, and this is illustrated in the photo, the two border gaurds were very friendly with one another, it was more than just civic cordiality – they were good chums. Incidentally, the Chinese built the Karokoram Highway through Pakistan in the 1960s, to aid trade flows between the two countries.

    This is great.
One thing that bothers me, as it something I am trying hard to avoid myself but often forget, is the leg chop.

Its a surreal photo, very cool.

    beautiful setting alright.

Nicely captured and exposed, it is a pity about the leg chop but
    still an impressive shot.

Thanks guys, I guess in retrospect it was a bit surreal; but at the time I had a stomach bug & didn’t really think about it…..
