Hi Aidan, great shots, now I see the standard to aim for. Lousy, NFL and Wonka had some great shots also. I think what happened to me was, I was using the right techniques at the wrong time and the wrong techniques at the right time???, something like that. That sounds like a very weak excuse. Regards Mike :? :?

    Nice work Aidan.

Just a question in relation to composition on these: When I was working on my batch I prefered to give the bikes some space to ride into… yours are all tight’ish crops. Is there a viewed right way or wrong way or is it just personal preference?

Nice piece of panning Aidan and great to see the settings used.

Thanks lads. I cropped pretty tight to show off what detail I had. I did leave more space in front than behind, though.

    Nicely done Aidan,

    Jim,

The two variables in the above are the focal length (fit in the subject with a little wiggle room to crop) and the aperture (set by metering). If the water is choppy you might need to increase the shutter speed.

Stunning! Pefect cropping too. Exposures are superb! better than the jumping ones as you’ve not had to worry about the sky.

    I love these!
