Always going to be difficult to try and show photographs of Paris which people have not seen 1000+ times before

It is difficult Mark but you’ve got to let them know where they are when looking at the image
& I don’t mean The Eiffel Tower in every image but shots like the second image at least convey to
me a European flavour to the scene. Love the first one also!

There are titles on them all John. Ok, the first one does not say where but trust me, its the Seine :)

I wasn’t in any doubt as to where these images were taken Mark! I wasn’t referring to the titles, I never even saw them.

just out of interest john, would you say that all photographs taken in ireland must convey a distinctly ‘irish’ feel to them?

Of course not Isabella! I was agreeing with the OP on how difficult it was photographing a city/scene that’s been done
    a thousand times before.

What I’m trying to say you need to be creative, do things a little different, capture a sense of atmosphere which I think
was captured beautifully in that image.

    Very nice Mark,

Stayed in the hotel on the corner in photo 2…… the square was not so picturesque as there was a big Marquee for Students Health checks when we were there :-(
