And a few ones here… tell me what you think…
Note: ignore the blush thing in the middle of the photos. My camera was dirty and I only noticed it when I came home and looked at them properly.

    Hi Janine,

This looks like an awesome location – and its on my “List of places to visit in 2010”!!

I’m not expert – but my obversations would be general ones.

Your horizons / water lines – and horizontals are slighly off – and i would guess they are all taken hand-held?

I’d strongley recommend a tripod – and see if there is a grid divided in thirds on your viewfinder or LCD. This will help improve image composition. Have a look on google for the “Rule of thirds”.

I see you have a EasyShare Z710 – and i have just looked at the specs for this point & Click – and it can behave just like a SLR. It has all the metering & exposure modes ( AV, TV, P etc) – so try move away from the automatic Shooting Programs – and be a little bit more creative with exposures. For these landscapes try AV mode – and choose the smallest aperture your camera allows ( f/3.7 i think). If the sky is too bright – go to manual mode – and descrease the shutter speed step by step. You could always get two shots and blend in PhotoShop Elements.

    Hope this helps,

    Hello Brendan,

yeah you are right… most of the time I am using the auto mode! Im too lazy to use the other options I get of my camera! Well I actually dunno how to use them because sometimes when you use certain settings it overexposes… But thats a lot of help you gave me there! :) I will try it out next time I am out in the country taking photos! :)

Hi again. If it over exposes – use a faster shutter speed. You’ll have to learn how you camera alters this!!!

You can do this in your bedroom first!!

    ciao
