This was an old photo I took…I gave it a square crop and de-saturated the colours. It also needed a sharpen as it wasn’t a very high res image to begin with…

Beautiful, maybe needs some saturation though?

Thanks, the muted tones were deliberate…here’s how it looked originally

I love the muted colours and the square crop. They really suit the subject.

I like the first one too! Looks kinda dusty, they are amazing birds have never been lucky enough to get a pic of one, they used to have them in the Dublin zoo but I havent seen them there for ages.

On first viewing, I have to say I prefer the original (not the first posted)… not sure about the muted colours in the top image to be honest.

I’d also crop down a little at the top of the shot, tighter to the topmost, er, decorative blue bit? I find my eye just wandered away out of the top of the shot as it is…?

    Take it easy,
    Dave.

Thanks for looking Dave – I think you’re right about the crop now that I look at it…the colours are probably just a personal choice – although obviously I like both versions! :D

i like your original post paperdoll! very nice crop!

shutterbug, i was in dublin zoo a few weeks back and there’s a few peacocks wandering around………. they weren’t great specimens though, slightly lacking in feathers! Maybe it’s shedding time?

    nice pic again, paperdoll.
