Pebbles and a Dying Sun

Taken near Dunaff Head, Donegal. 3 stop ND grad filter (if memory serves). Comments welcome.
For some reason it’s a different colour in PS, my browser, Picasa and Windows. I hope it looks luvverly for you.

This really is superb. Perhaps your best photograph ever.
It has everything.
Beautiful shine off the foreground pebbles, super shape in the swell and background waves, amazing sky and the perfect hexagonal sun flare spot.

yeah great shot there… I like the way you captured the water movement just right… without blurring it too much.
Nice strong clouds too…
It looks better in my photo editor… sun isn’t as strong or distracting in it.

Love it, tried to do something similar this evening in Galway and failed miserably, had the waves but tide was wrong, well done lad!!!

Pete – I just saw your image this morning, and for me it is just Wow! Beautiful sky, lovely fluffy(!) sea, nice foreground detail.
No doubt one of our more experienced photographers would have more technical advice, but thats just my 2cents :DI’ve just had an email from a friend who suggested I turn it into a poster in this vein http://www.despair.com/indem.html
