Mad about it. Looks like he has a victim in it’s sights.
Would like to have seen more of the bird (the talons) though.

    Absolutely amazing.

I saw one of these boys (well, a girl, actually) in Donegal on Sunday. We stopped the car quite near her because she was on a fencepost, but she flew off as soon as we pulled up. They’re big birds when you’re close to them, aren’t they?

They’re big alright, this was a juvenile that was injured and i was looking after it, didn’t show talons cos there were jesses on them.
Returned to the wild in the end.

Pin sharp where it matters, brilliant eye contact results in a fantastic shot!

    Great shot John.
I guess you must have had plenty of opportunities seeing that you looked after the bird :D

Amazing! I love birds of prey & seeing a photo like this is fantastic. I’ve 2 buzzards living beside the house & the best I can get is a dot on the sky.
    Love it!

Wow. Love it. The eyes are pin sharp, which is what the image is about. (for me) Only critque I can mention as was said above is the claws are sadly not in view. I’m doing a City & Guilds photography course and I’m planning on getting an Owl shot, (there’s an Owl reserve local to me), if I get something like this I’d be very happy. I’d really consider a Peregrine like this too.

    Excellent shot.
