First time shooting motors in motion – hand to do it handheld with the two year kid old pulling at my leg.
About 200 yards on from the first corner, was looking for somewhere with a gap in the trees and no clutter in the background.
I’d have spent longer there but as it was I was AWOL and had to be back to meet up with some friends.
I was just chuffed because the kid loved it all – last year I went with his uncle and cousin…man, that turned out to be a whiney day out.I wasn’t far from you at all. I was by the first gap in the trees on the outside of corner #1.
Ah, so you must have been amongst the three or four lads who picked out the prime spot.
Looked to see if there was any room but there wasn’t much of a gap between the trees there so i made do.
Probably just as well for you as I had the kid with me, and he likes crashing into people ;)great shots,
was in dublin zoo when this was on (dont ask, the girlfriend dragged me!must post up some pics)

Lovely crisp shots, well done.Wouldn’t say I’ve mastered it by any means – they’re not as pin sharp as they look – but I’ve got the general gist of it I think.
Had the 2x on the 70-200, was great to be able to get in close without being that close.Need more practice…thinking of heading up to Sligo for the WRC in November, but I’ll probably try to get out to Mondello sometime before that.
Was good fun trying my hand at something different for a change.if your thinking of going to mondello, the prodrift is on this weekend. qualifying on saturday with the finals on sunday. kicks off about 12ish. should be a good chance to get a few pics…! might head myself on saturday
Would love to go this weekend but I’m off over to Konny Mara for a week.
