Photo Software corel paintshop pro 2018 and lightroom

Hi All
I have a question about Photo Software

I have Corel Paint Shop Pro 2018 which I had when I used a point and shoot camera and have upgraded to latest version.Then I heard about Lightroom cc which I was not interested on the basis you paid a subscription but then I discovered Lightroom cc a stand alone program which can be installed without a cloud ink for a reasonable price.

Now I saw Affinity Photo which it appears to be an alternative to photoshop

My question is do I need Lightroom or can I live with corel paintshoppro(as I have already forked out for the upgrade) I am just a beginner photographer

I think I know the answer but just to verify. Thanks
