Photogram Event – Any interest?
-

I thought about getting together with a few of you, rent a darkroom and let our creative minds free to make some photograms… After the photograms are done, we could commit mass suicide in the Abstract section by posting abnormal pictures with matching titles.
It would be great if there was at least someone who knows how to develop a print correctly, because I don’t… so please, master printers, join in to the fun.
The event should be in the end of May.
So, is anyone interested?
jessthespringerParticipantGizzoParticipantjb7Participanthmm, maybe…
you know I like lenses too much-Though I could see you in the bar, after, for the pinup…
randomwayMemberI take it as a yes, Joseph, so that’s 3 of you so far.
I will bring the paper, the expenses will be minimal, so money can’t be an excuse… come on, where is everybody?
GizzoParticipantI can bring paper as well!!!
do we need anything else like trays and/or chemicals???nfl-fanParticipantplainoldmeMemberI’d say a lot of people might feel intimidated by the prospect. A lot of people here seem to use digital a lot more, so whether they have an interest in it or not, they may feel itimidated by the fact that they know absolutely nothing about this kinda thing.
I for one, am one of those people!
I guess a lot of people are going to think that if they say they’re interested, they’ll be the odd one out, especially with you guys hogging the LoFi section these days  (although it’s good to see it more active!)
Then again, they probably shouldn’t assume that, because we all know Gigi ain’t got a clue either ;)

:D :D
plainoldmeMemberrandomwayMemberThis would not be a serious event, I don’t want to be and couldn’t be a competition for Fintan or anyone else teaching correct and sophisticated developing and printing techniques. Take it as a “LoFi printing workshop” :) I am not using any enlargers or equipment that would need skills… a paper, light source and some chemicals (none of them will kill you).
The process is very very easy and the point is that it can go wrong and the mistakes can still look good. It could be learnt in 5 mins, so the lack of skills and experience is not a good excuse.

Well if you put it like that, then how can I resist…
plainoldmeMemberwell when you put it like that Zoltan….. you may have just twisted my arm.
Depending on the date of course, some of us have those nasty final type-things until the 29th. God damn exams,

Grrr..
GizzoParticipantwould make sense to do also some film developing while we’re meeting for the photograms????
again just something very basic, nothing similar with a proper workshop…
