hi everyone
I was wondering what can i do using photoshop elements 5.0 editor to imorove this pic?would a different version of photoshop be more helpful?
AndyLParticipantThere is a fairly obvious diagonal line passing through the line of the lighthouse with the two different shades of blue sky. Unfortunately, I’ve no idea how to sort that, but as a fellow panorama shooter, I’d love to know…
torlacMemberi’ve tried to lock the exposure when i take the pic but it still seems to show up when i merge
rc53MemberI presume that you are trying to merge two [or more, perhaps] pix in PSE.
You need to work manually, aperture, focus and shutter speed, and preferably white balance – not so important in raw.
some earlier versions of PS didn’t blend exposures very well, hence the very typical diagonal, though they could stitch the two pix into one.
The panorama features – stitch and blend – seem to work much better from CS2, and particularly CS3.
These aren’t cheap programs.
Take a look at PTGui instead, or google for panorama makers – there are lots available, all should be cheaper than a fuller version of PS
-unless as a student you can get it at a discount. Some people prefer them to CS3 for stitching, though CS3’s blending is very good.torlacMemberThanks bertie for your help. I love creating panoramic shots but it’s sofrustrating to see the diagonal line when i get home and merge my shots.
I’ll see about new software especially with christmas coming…..i’ll be on to Santarc53MembertorlacMemberRaVMemberAutostitch works great for me, – its free too. – http://www.cs.ubc.ca/~mbrown/autostitch/autostitch.html
Just remember to go into options and set JPEG Quality to 100 and OUTPUT size to 100%
