Hi Elizabeth,
Just having a look at your pictures and I think they’re wonderful esp No.2, stunning
You’re model was beautiful.
Love the background in No.1, looks really funky.I’m not sure why other people haven’t commented on them coz they’re fantastic.
Lucy :)
RASMITH32MemberNo. 1 is the best shot of the three. I like it a lot, that said, I find that white highlight on her face distracting, as I do the black streak to the right of the model. I like the models tee shirt in the 2nd one, almost a mirror image of herself which adds dept to the image. The third is nice too. Slightly overexposed. I would soften her skin a little and lose the bra strap. It takes form the softness of the image a little.
Hope that was constructive?. :-)
As an aside, How do you add your signature to the images?, is it a specific font you use?. Its a nice touch
jb7ParticipantI think the first is the strongest-
though I think the framing is a bit careless-
too much space at the top, and the hands are missing-
She’s gone to the trouble of dressing them up too,
so I suppose they could be an important part of the picture-
unless that’s what the message on the shirt is about-I’m too old to wear logos and slogans and pictures on my clothes-
as a photographer, I’m jealous of them too-
they’re a very strong competing element in a portrait-
Sometimes they work- in this one, depending on what the picture is to be used for,
it could be argued that it does-However, the portrait might have been stronger without the message-
You’ve got a striking model there, with attitude- hope to see more-
Just please, don’t be tempted to get into the skin smoothing thing,
particularly with someone so young, and with perfect skin-If you need to do it with someone else, who might actually benefit from it,
consider using light, or a softer lens, or makeup, before using programs-
your photographs look like photographs, and that’s a good thing-
especially in an age when photography is seen as just another peripheral for a computer-Some good stuff on your flickr too-
