-
MartinParticipant
Had a nice day on Saturday for the PI LoFi Day, Thanks to Sinead for organising, great success.
Wasn’t going to develop these so soon but dev’d two roles last night wile watching the TV, below is the best from the two roles… Have another role and a half which I will post during the week…
Basic neg scans, contrast increased and tone added in PS
This is what caught my attention during the day…
My LoFi shooter of choice was a Holga, Film was Neopan 400 dev’d in Rodinal…

Mick451ParticipantMartinOCParticipantI like the ones of the meeting square market the best, they document the place well.
And overall great stuff !Martin
bingbongbiddleyParticipantI like them too Martin.
Where was number 13 taken?
I like the Sharpsville one and the Cafe Irie one myself.
MartinParticipantThanks guys, glad you liked them
Mick451: Thanks Mick, I like 12 and 19 also, 6 and 9 are another two that stick out for me
MartinOC: The market ones are nice i think hopefully i’ll get a print from one of the shots in the darkroom, I took a role of colour also around the Market so hopefully I get a nice colour one also
bingbongbiddley: Was taken in the courtyard at Kilmainham Hospital, where the big TV is…
Thanks again all
MbingbongbiddleyParticipantWas taken in the courtyard at Kilmainham Hospital, where the big TV is…
Okay. I’ve never been there, interesting location.
All your subjects are very well chosen.
Forgot to say that the 1st picture is a stand out for me as well. I like the narrow depth of field in it.
I’ll look forward to getting a look at the colour pictures as well.
jb7ParticipantThat was quick Martin, I could tell you were rushing home to do them-
And such a lot of good ones from two rolls-
but that first one looks reversed, better get that out of the way first…Specially like the Irish Destiny and Sharpseville one in a set where its impossible to choose favourites-
jessthespringerParticipantGoodness me, Martin… That was quick!!
These are all great, really cool set of pictures, from what was a great day.
There are a few that really do stand out, but, there is something very nice about 18,
been back to look at that a few times.
9 is great as well.Loving the new avatar, might have to do mine too…
Sinead
RobMemberWow, that was incredibly fast Martin…
Great set too. I’m not expecting a return anything close to that from the
three rolls that I shot, and it’ll be at least a week before I even get the chance
to post anything here…Lovely stuff. Captured the atmousphere of our day perfectly…
MartinParticipantMr7: No wasn’t in a rush home to dev the film:-) im very tired these days so needed to go home and chill out to be honest. I do need a good piss up one of these days though, its been a while…. Wasn’t going to dev the stuff last night but it kept calling me so I gave in.
Ms Springer: Glad you liked them, no 9 is one I like too, good to hear you liked no 18, its was a real grab shot while the bus was moving. Thanks for the badge, I have had the other avatar now for over two years was time for a change…
Mr Rob: Yea fast alright getting in before the flood of pics next week:-) I’m sure you will have some nice shots, if you want to learn how to dev film your self any day just shout and I can show you, I have a spare tank you can have, very easy to do…
Again thanks all
MartinRestlessNativeMemberExcellent set Martin. 18 is my favourite but they all appeal.
Mmmmmm Holga…
MarkKeymasterWhat a great set of photos Martin. The exposure considering the different lighting
conditions seem really very good. Alot of sharpness in the centres… sweet!!MartinParticipantThanks Mark and RestlessNative
The exposure considering the different lighting
conditions seem really very goodWhen developing them I pulled the film down to around 240iso and used a more dilute developer with not much agitation. Result being more flat negs with a better chance of having details in the highlights…
Mr7: Yes no 1 is left to right alright, well spotted, no 5 is also backwards:-)
randomwayMemberNice set of photos Martin, too many to comment on… no 6 an 18 would be my favourites
MarkKeymasterAh ok. I noticed the reference to rodinal 1:100 on flickr. I’ll take note of that, very useful…
cheers
