Poor weather to start with but it improved after lunch. Good to meet up with the PI members
that made the trip and put some faces on names. In particular Steve (Ossie) who it turns
out lives about 5 mins away from me.
Looks like there was going to be some good craic in Glendalough tonight.
Anyway, here is one of mine from today. Will work on a few more over the next few days.
Thanks again to everyone involved in putting it together and roll on the next outing.

Like the panoramic shot Martin, very nice to see the blue sky in it!
John you got some really nice ones there, and well done for smoothing
out that water  The little mushroom is gorgeous.

I didnt get much worth keeping (with me macro len  ) but this
tree has sentimental memories for me.

I like that Jenny, some lovely greens in the tree

Shutterbug..Really nice shot Jenny, well spotted and nicely exposed. Colours are nicely balanced, would lend itself to B&W or IR if that bush lower left wasn’t present. I scrolled to remove the bottom right grassy verge which made it more pleasing to my eye.

Steelydan…Down the Lake is a beauty. Love the rusty colours and the movement in the branches only adds to the scene. What filter did you use for these shots?

    Thanks John, Mikka :)

Steelydan re-fungi ID, I think it is a parrot waxcap, but cannot be certain as they change colour (and you know how dodgy mushrooms can be. ). A nice set of shots. I like the three piers shot (or is it 3 PIers?) and really like the fungi one. Lovely lighting.

Sounds intriguing. Are we going to get any more details?

    Nice panorama there Martin.

John you produced a few nice images.
The fungi turned out nice and the lake/piers shots are very good too.
I wonder how Mick’s fungi and leaf turned out?

Hi Peter. You got a couple of good shots too. Well done.

I probably spent more time talking, listening and looking than I did concentrating
    on getting good shots.
My favourite one of mine is of a leaf but I stole the idea from Mick S so I’ll leave
    that one for him.
Heres a few just to prove I was there.

    Thanks to you all.

    John.

This lonely tree overlooks the upper lake and is visible in Peter’s shot.

This was taken when it was wet and windy on Saturday morning.

Some really nice images there, looks like you all had a great weekend. I won’t pick a favourite image but I think Jason should move the stage into the wildlife section as that’s the best deer shot that’s been on here for a while.

    Dave.

Ps, Peters first shot is also very nice.

Wow, what a great selection of shots there by everyone, I couldn’t even pick a favourite, it would be impossible. Such variety of shots too.
I didn’t get very many that I was pleased with on the day but I had a fantastic day all the same. It was great to meet so many of you guys/girls after looking at your photography on here for so long.
I spent a great deal of the day wandering around with 5faythe, just taking in the surroundings and chatting about photography. I learned so much from him that afternoon it was fantastic. So thank you for that John, and thanks also to Steelydan for his great advice and help during the day too.

5faythe: Please post your “Leaf” shot, I’m sure it turned out much better than mine.

    Here’s a couple from me:
