PI Outing – Glendalough Outing 3rd – 4th October

Good to meet up with you all this morning folks. Hope you all made it up the Sally Gap and that you got home safely.
Just downloaded my images, and have a good few with potential. Not sure when I’ll get the chance to process them but I’ll post them up when I do so.
Looking forward to seeing your shots in the coming days.

hello to all of the PIers I met in Glendalough today – great to put faces to the name/avatars (and what looked like a few sore heads too :) )
It turned out to be a really nice morning with some great light – hopefully a few decent shots to be posted in the next few daysHope you all enjoyed the rest of the day and had a safe journey
Nice meeting some of the PI peeps, the weather was somewhat wet n windy to
start yesterday, but it did pick up! I had been all organised for this for ages but
on arriving found I had left my “favourite” lens behind so I kinda had to make
do with a 70mm macro! Anyway it didnt detract from the day and despite to soaking
I had many a laugh.You had a great day weather wise today tho looking forward to seeing your shots
soon.Thanks Peter for kicking it all off :)

big big thanks to everyone for making my first PI outing very enjoyable, it was great craic and good weekend for sure.
I’m just about recovering from last night and have now uploaded a few shots from the last two days.Great location, I’l definitely be back there for there.
BIG THANKS to Sean and Cahill for the lift down and thanks Cahill for the advanced warning wrt farts.
I’ve uploaded a few pics to flickr and will do so here in due course :)

Well I survived my first PI outing. :?

Jenny (shutterbug) was the first I met and a very nice lady she is too.John (steelydan) and Mick (mick S) from Waterford came along soon after.
John kindly let me use his mobile phone as mine had died. Thanks John.
Mick and John are two very talented photographers and were very generous with ideas.
I hope I didn’t distract you too much.I also met Martin (martinkingphotos), Steve (Ossie13), Cathal (cathald),
Sean (sean 1098) and of course Mark (The Boss :) ).I hope you all had a good time and a safe return journey.
I look forward to next time when I will know what to expect and

Sounds like this meet was every bit as good as the Mournes one. I’m sorry I didn’t make it..but hopefully will meet some of the newer faces at the LoFi event :-)
Another good weekend

I only made it to the pub as I had to work all day Saturday.
What a night… that’s all I can say. Quote “Marc Tracy” – “I haven’t had a night like this since I left school”.
Here’s a few from a roll of Tri-X that I shot with the Mamiya. Light was poor so the shutter was 1/4 sec for about half of these. We managed to squeeze out 1/30 sec under the pool table.
