PI trip to Connemara – May 11th/13th

    Hi,
I’d love to meet up for this outing….particulalry as I wouldn’t have far to travel (living in North Galway). I make my living as a Wedding and Portrait Photographer which means that most weekends I have something on. Im photographing a “First Holy Communion” for example on the Sunday (May 13th) but nothing booked for the Satuday just yet.
Would like to spend sometime doing landscapes as opposed to “portraits” so will be doing my best to meet up with some of you over the May weekend.
    Best regards,

    John

Ok, by the looks of it we have 6 confirmed, Steve, Brian, Cathal, Mary, David and myself.

Does anybody have a particular preference for accommodation type, i.e. B&B (approx €30/€35 per night per person sharing) or Hostel (not 100% sure of pricing but roughly €20/€25 per night). Me personally i would prefer the B&B just for the proper breakfast been handed up to you in the morning, but thats just me (lazy fecker)!

I am also thinking of maybe staying around the Clifden area but if anybody has any other suggestions please let us know.

If possible could everybody try get back to me asap if they have any particular preferences for accommodation type or area to stay in as I would like to have somewhere booked by this time next week.

    Thanks,
    NĂall

I think we’d swing for a B&B (like the breakfast idea!), but we’d be easy either way. B&B or Hostel either one’d be grand. Definitely, go for a location with a pub close by.

Personally, I think Clifden would be a better location to stay in for pubs and just generally. Its a good size town with an option on pubs. Not 100% sure about Letterfrack. Any time I’ve been its on a drive through as we head for the National Park. Great spot!

If you need me to make any calls or check out places, don’t hesitate to give me a call. Happy to help.

Just re-read my posting… lot of mentions re pubs! Sorry!

Also, some gorgeous walks starting in Clifden village itself.

I’d actually be fairly interested in this one – but would likely have no transport of my own for getting around so the Wee White Van might be handy to bring!!

I wonder if Kylemore Abbey or Connemara National Park would be looking splendid enough for us!!
