Wonderful shot.. Absolutely nice colours and landscape.. the water looks very soft here :)
mcmartinParticipantBMParticipantThanks for all of the comments. The effect of the stones on the beach together with the remoteness of the location are some of the reasons I wanted to go to Port.
NFL: Yes, I did rush it a bit. Having received so much praise, I will spend a bit more time on a new version.
Martin: 11:50 am
MarkKeymasterBrian,
Really beautiful shot !
I seem to recall you telling us in Co. Down that you didn’t take good photos.
I better not ever play you at pool, poker, golf or anything else as I’d fear I’d be taken to the cleaners, ya hustler ya ;)Boy am I sorry I couldn’t make it up to Donegal :)
Keep ’em coming
RobMemberGorgeous colour and detail, almost surreal quality to the movement
in the water. Very different, very appealing…Rob.
PitmaticMemberVery nice I always lve these shots when the sky is coming towards you and it reinforces the stretch effect very nice
If I ever buy another filter its going to be one of these :) looks like you had a great time “mutter mutter jealous mutter” :D .
jessthespringerParticipantrichiehatchMemberDam… thats a better shot than any of mine from my last couple of visits to Port…! I feel another is on the cards in the next few weeks. I shouldve never mentioned that place on here… although I am sure yee would’ve found it anyway…! Those B&W’s look great… another to add to my wish list.
Richie
mcmartinParticipantBrian… your shot made me buy this bloody damn filter… that means few pounds out of my account …. I just hope to get at least bit closer to this kind of shots… congrats again
MartinParticipantVery nice Brian well done, your best for sure well done, thanks again for organising the weekend and prizes:-)
andy mcinroyParticipantWow,
I’ve just come across this thread after kenh posted it as POTM.
Brian, you’ve outdone yourself with this one. Absolutely beautiful. Amazing explosion of sky and fantastic softness of tones within the surf. Nicely composed too. Saturation is just perfect, lovely subtlety.
Have you been out doing secret practice without me?
Andy
positronMemberWow is right. Its the detail and light on the pebbles that does it for me. Beautiful!
